School of Open Learning (SOL), University of Delhi was established in 1962. It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is part of the Campus of Open Learning (COL) and its goal is to give students who can't go to regular college a flexible and welcoming education.  In addition to other support centres, the school also has a South Study Centre in South Moti Bagh, New Delhi, to help with academic and administrative tasks. DUSOL's courses offer a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programmes through a number of different academic departments. It has about 15 academic departments that offer its programs. These include Management, Commerce, English, Hindi, History, Tamil, Economics, Urdu, Punjabi, Political Science, Sanskrit, and Environmental Studies, among others.

According to the University of Delhi, admissions to undergraduate courses at DU SOL are based on merit, while admissions to postgraduate courses are based on merit and entrance exam scores. All programs follow the University of Delhi's rules for academics, exams, and degrees.

DU SOL Admission Process 2026

University of Delhi's School of Open Learning (SOL) follows the DU university norms for admissions. DU SOL admission is done through a central online process. Admissions to School of Open Learning (SOL), University of Delhi UG courses are based on merit. Further, for postgraduate programs, candidates required CUET PG scores. Candidates can apply to the School of Open Learning (DU) online at the official website, sol.du.ac.in.

DU SOL PG admissions are conducted through CUET PG and merit-based selection. According to DU university rules, CUET PG scores fill half of the seats, and the other half are filled based on how well students do on qualifying exams. DU SOL Examination Process

DU SOL Degree

University of Delhi issues degree certificates to students who finish their programme and pass all of their exams through the School of Open Learning. The University of Delhi gives out DU SOL degrees, which are just as valuable and respected as degrees from regular colleges. The certificate is in the university's official format and has all the student's study details. According to the University of Delhi and UGC rules, DU SOL degrees are useful for getting into college, getting a job, and taking competitive exams.
