SNAP Counselling 2025, Dates, Process, Know Colleges

SNAP Counselling 2025 will commence soon at the SIU colleges. SNAP 2025 exam was conducted over three days starting from 06 December 2025 onwards in two shifts. The SNAP result will be released on January 08, 2026 online. Candidates who qualify for the SNAP 2025 result will be called to attend the counselling process. As of now, there is no update regarding the counselling schedule but it will be released soon.

SNAP shortlisting process for the MBA batch of 2026 includes Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interaction (PI). Institutes conduct these rounds for candidates who qualify the SNAP 2025 exam.

Each SIU institute fixes its own minimum SNAP 2025 cut-off percentile. Candidates who meet this cut-off become eligible for the GE and PI rounds. To take part in the selection process, candidates must fill the online application form on the official websites of the institutes they choose during SNAP 2025 registration.

If an institute shortlists a candidate, it sends the GE/PI date, time, and venue through email. Candidates must attend the selection rounds. If a candidate does not appear for GE or PI, the institute considers them not eligible for admission to any MBA programme of SIU.

What is Group Exercise (GE)?

Group Exercise is similar to a group discussion. Institutes place candidates in small groups of 8 to 10 members. Each group receives a case study based on Marketing, Human Resources, Finance, or Operations.

Candidates discuss the case and suggest solutions as a team. Each group gets 20 minutes to discuss and present their ideas.

What is Personal Interaction (PI)?

Personal Interaction is a face-to-face interview with a panel. The panel usually includes teachers, academics, and industry experts.

They ask simple questions like “Why do you want to do an MBA?”, career goals, strengths, hobbies, and future plans.

What is Writing Ability Test (WAT)?

The Writing Ability Test is an essay-writing round. Candidates receive a topic and write a short passage on it.

They get 5 to 10 minutes to write 100–200 words. For MBA 2025 admissions, institutes did not conduct WAT.

SNAP Final Merit List and Weightage

SNAP colleges prepare SNAP final merit list based on performance in all selection rounds. They give marks for each round and calculate a final composite score. Institutes send admission offers based on this final score.

SNAP counselling 2025 consists of several rounds. Candidates have to complete each of these to participate in the SNAP admission rounds.

• Candidates select their preferred MBA programmes and SIU institutes while filling out the SNAP 2025 application form.

• Candidates pay ₹1,000 per SIU institute at the time of SNAP registration and application.

• Candidates cannot apply to any SIU institute after SNAP 2025 registration closes.

• Each SIU institute conducts the SNAP admission process separately for every MBA programme it offers.

• Institutes issue GE–PI calls based on the SNAP cut-offs set for that academic year.

• SIU institutes decide their admission cut-offs individually, according to their own selection rules and requirements.

• Institutes also consider a candidate’s academic background while shortlisting candidates for the PI round.

• Based on their overall SNAP 2025 percentile, a candidate may receive calls from more than one programme. In such cases, the candidate must attend the selection process for each programme separately.

SNAP cut off marks 2026 are the minimum marks that a candidate must score to get their names in the merit list. The SNAP minimum cut off is released separately by each college based on the category. One who scores marks or more than the SNAP 2026 cut off marks will be allowed to apply for admission.

The candidates who complete the SNAP 2026 examination and also the counselling process are called for admission to the colleges.
