PCM Session 1 will be held from April 11 to April 19, 2026.

MHT CET 2026 exam dates have been announced by the Maharashtra CET Cell. The PCM dates for Session 1 will be from April 11th to 19th, 2026, and the PCB dates are from April 21st to 26th, 2026. Session 2's dates are May 14th through May 17th for the PCM and May 10-11 for the PCB. MHT CET registration will be open soon. The tentative date for the first registration date for 2026 is December 30, 2025. Maharashtra CET cell has launched the computer-based MHT CET exam for BTech and BPharma. The BTech syllabus consists of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics for Class 11 and Class 12, while the BPharma syllabus consists of Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Also in Maharashtra, BTech admission may be based on JEE Main scores.

To be eligible to apply for the MHT CET 2026 exam, candidates are required to fulfil the criteria set by the conducting body. The official eligibility criteria are yet to be released. Candidates can refer to the previous year eligibility criteria. Candidates must known the criteria before filling out the MHT CET 2026 application form:
General Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admission to MHT CET, candidates must be citizens of India.
Candidates must have completed or be in the process of completing their HSC (Class XII) in 2026.
There are no age restrictions for students who wish to take the MHT CET exam.
Candidates must have studied Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects in HSC (Class XII) along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational Subject/Computer Science/Information Technology/Informatics Practices/Agriculture/Engineering Graphics/Business Studies.
Candidates need to obtain a minimum of 45% marks in HSC (Class XII) if they are General Category. The required percentage is reduced to 40% for candidates from reserved categories, i.e. (Backward Class, EWS, PwD).

Non-Maharashtra residents can also take the MHT CET test.
JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main allows non-Maharashtra residents to seek admission into Bachelor's in Technology (B.Tech) degrees.
Both non-Maharashtra and Maharashtra residents are subject to the same set of eligibility criteria.
Policies regarding reservations in Maharashtra State do not pertain to applicants from other states.
Seats between 85% for Maharashtra State residents and 15% for OMS (Outside Maharashtra State) applicants will be available.
OCI, PIO, and NRI applicants do not have to take the MHT CET. They may apply to colleges with their Class 12 (HSC) or the equivalent grade point average. After the regular MHT CET rounds of entrance, a separate set of counseling is conducted for all OCI/PIO/NRI candidates.
Note: Candidates meeting any of the criteria listed below will be treated as Maharashtra State candidates.
Maharashtra residents by birth, or having their fathers or mothers who have a valid Maharashtra Domicile Certificate.
A parent who works at the Government of India or Government of India Undertakings (PSU) and is posted in Maharashtra.
A parent who is an employee or has retired from being an employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertakings (PSU).
SSC and/or HSC in the disputed border of Maharashtra-Karnataka regions, and residing in that area, and who speak Marathi as the first language.
A candidate who is part of a linguistic/religious minority community will be considered for MHT CET, and must come from a government-designated community in Maharashtra.

Step 1: Register
The first step in applying is to fill out your application registration form. In this step, you must provide some basic information about yourself including:

Application fees can be paid through online methods only. Once an applicant has successfully completed payment of the application fee, the application will be submitted. Applicants should save the PDF of their completed application for use during the admission process.

The CET Cell offers a form correction option at the end of the application period via the official website. Once the period ends, candidates are able to correct their applications by logging into the official website with their registered email ID and password.

Maharashtra CET Cell recently released the official MHT CET Syllabus PDF version 2026. As per the exam syllabus is similar to what is taught in Class XI and XII through the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, it will be the basis of your study using your textbooks provided at your school.

Maharashtra CET Cell has announced the official exam pattern for MHT CET 2026. Candidates need to understand the structure of this exam that includes the paper format; the marking scheme and subject-wise distribution of marks will help them prepare for this examination.
MHT CET 2026 will be an online examination based on a computer-based test (CBT) format with multiple-choice questions (MCQs). There will be separate question papers for the following streams - PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) and PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology).

Candidates should begin by familiarising themselves with the entire syllabus for the MHT CET exam. Once candidates have a good understanding of what topics will be covered on the exam, they should then concentrate on developing a solid understanding of the foundational concepts (from the Maharashtra State Board Class 11 and 12 Textbooks).

The official information brochure provides a breakdown of the various exam centre options. The MHT CET is conducted in more than 100 locations throughout the state of Maharashtra as well as in some locations outside of the state. Exam centres are assigned based on the city preference selected by candidates at the time of completing their application. Maharashtra CET Cell is expected to commence MHT CET 2026 Counselling in June. All those who are eligible to enrol in the MHT CET based on their placement on the Merit List will have the ability to conclude the CAP Central Admission Process registration online. During the counselling process, all eligible candidates are required to provide their preferred colleges and courses of choice and present this information at the time of the counselling process.
