GATE 2026 examination will be conducted on four dates in two shifts: February 07, 08, 14, and 15, 2026.
Online registration through the GOAPS portal is now closed. The final deadline, including the late fee, was October 13, 2025.
GATE 2026 result is expected to be announced on March 19, 2026
GATE 2026 admit card will be released on January 02, 2026.
GATE answer key and candidate response sheets are expected to be released in February 2026 after the exam sessions conclude.
GATE 2026 Result will be officially declared by IIT Guwahati on March 19, 2026. GATE 2026 Result Download is done through the GOAPS portal. The GOAPS portal is the official gateway for all exam-related activities. The download process starts immediately after the result announcement. The downloaded copy is a provisional mark sheet.

GATE Cutoff refers to a minimum score set by the GATE exam authorities that needs to be achieved to qualify the exam. IIT Admission through GATE 2026: IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur. Also includes IIT Kharagpur, IIT Roorkee, and IIT Guwahati.
NIT Admission through GATE 2026: NIT Trichy, NIT Warangal, and NIT Surathkal. Also includes other National Institutes of Technology.

Many leading Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) recruit through GATE Score annually. This is a primary recruitment method for engineer positions.
Maharatna PSUs: IOCL, ONGC, NTPC, BHEL, GAIL, and HPCL.
Navratna PSUs: PGCIL, BSNL, and ECIL.
Other PSUs: BARC, DRDO, RITES, and SAIL.
