MAT Exam 2025 Result is expected by the first week of January 2026.
MAT results 2025 for the December session are expected to be released in January 2026 by the AIMA. AIMA will publish the MAT Exam 2025 Result for various sessions (CBT, PBT, IBT) on aima.mat.in. MAT exam were conducted throughout late 2025. The minimum MAT cutoff criteria vary across participating MBA colleges and programmes. Candidates who achieve a good MAT percentile are eligible for admission to over 800 business schools for various management courses.
Candidates can only view the MAT Exam 2025 Result online. Candidates must log in with their official AIMA credentials to access the MAT Scorecard. This scorecard is essential for applying to various MBA Colleges accepting MAT scores.

Look for the link that says, "Download MAT Scorecard" under the MAT 2025 section.
Candidates will be required to enter their Roll Number, Registration Form Number, and the Month of Test (e.g., February, May, September, or December 2025).

Above 90 percentile: Primarily needed for institutes like Amity, XIME, etc.
Between 80 and 90 percentile: Many colleges open up for a few specific lines-BIMTECH (for few courses), Christ University, and IPE Hyderabad.
Below 70 percentile: A good number of colleges accept it, with some good options also in the lower fee/high-ROI category such as ITM Navi Mumbai.

MAT Exam 2025 is the first step; the final MBA Admission is determined by a holistic evaluation conducted by the individual B-Schools. There is no centralized MAT counselling process.
Phase 1: Score Shortlisting & Application
MAT Score Release: After the result declaration, AIMA sends the official MAT Scorecard to the 5 institutions you selected in your application form.
College Application: Additional colleges can be added by going to the official site of the concerned college and filling in their application form, in addition to the five for which the application has already been sent along with the specific fee each college requires.
Shortlisting: MAT Percentile (Composite Score-based) is primarily employed as a criterion to shortlist candidates, since almost all of the institutions have their precise MAT Cutoff (80%ile, 90%ile, etc).
Phase 2: Final Assessment Rounds
As far as the final selection processes, which are very much an overall fit-oriented selection, those candidates who meet with the cutoff stipulated by the college are called. These rounds include:
Group Discussion (GD): Discussion for assessing leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills;
Personal Interview (PI): One-on-one interaction assessing career goals, subject knowledge, confidence, and personality;
Written Ability Test (WAT): (Conducted by some colleges) A short essay or a writing test to check the ability of candidates to articulate through writing.
Phase 3: Final Merit List Compilation
The complete weightage basis is applied in arriving at the final selection decision, where the MAT score carries only a little weight. Following the trend, most of the B-schools go forward in preparing the final merit list based on performance in academia, personality, and test results.
